As a child growing up in Brazil I spent a lot of time wandering around among the contorting trees of the Atlantic Forest as well as the mass of concrete that is the city of São Paulo. Those moments of watching, listening and imagining became crucial experiences that now inform a lot of the visual identity in my art.

The made up stories and creatures that weren’t really there; the insects captured against my mother’s wishes I tried to keep as pets; the hard edges and uninviting lightning of crumbling urbanscapes. Those portrayals of natural and unnatural observations aim to engage viewer and artist on a mutual conversation of nostalgic feelings and memories.

As a tattooer I had the opportunity to do a lot of back and forth between places, to land back in the Canadian prairies where I currently reside and work as a full time illustrator and tattooer in Calgary AB. When not making stuff, you can catch me sometimes biking, sometimes wandering, sometimes fishing, sometimes playing MTG.
